Sweet Gale, also known as Myrica gale, is a sweet-smelling herb traditionally used for its flavor in a brew without hops called Gruit. It’s also been said to aid lucid dreaming, soothe digestion and has been used to treat acne.
Our Sweet Gale is harvested on the banks of lakes, rivers and marshes in Eastern Ontario. We take pride in the special attention we pay to drying Sweet Gale so as to retain its vibrant color and aroma.
